About Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the oldest franchises in the history of the National Football League (NFL). The Pittsburgh Steelers were established as Pittsburgh Pirates in 1933 and renamed themselves as the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1940.The Steelers did not enjoy much success in the NFL before the NFL-AFL merger in 1970. However, post the merger, the Steelers became one of the most successful NFL franchises ever and still holds the record for being the franchise with the most Super Bowl victories (tied with the New England Patriots). The Steelers also rank one of the highest in playoff appearances with 32 appearances. The Steelers have a large fanbase who call themselves the ‘Steeler Nation’. The franchise is estimated to be worth around $4.26 billion as of 2022.

The regular season kicks off with a home game at Acrisure Stadium, where they will face the San Francisco 49ers in a battle to start the season on a strong note. This will be followed by another home game against the Cleveland Browns, providing an early opportunity for divisional dominance. In Week 3, the Steelers hit the road to take on the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium, followed by an away game against the Houston Texans in Week 4. Returning home, they will face a tough challenge against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, seeking to assert their dominance within the division.

The team enjoys a much-needed bye week in Week 6 to recharge and prepare for the second half of the season. The regular season concludes with a challenging road game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17 and a final away matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.
