2024-25 New Orleans Pelicans Roster & Players | NBA
The New Orleans Pelicans roster holds immense promise for the 2023-24 NBA season as it is full of young, fearless players. With Zion Williamson back in action after grappling with injuries in the previous season, Coach Willie Green can finally use the completely healthy New Orleans Pelicans roster.
At the heart of the New Orleans Pelicans roster 2023 lies the brilliance of Brandon Ingram, who assumes the role of small forward but can also operate as a shooting guard in the starting line-up. Paired alongside him is Zion Williamson, whose athleticism and power make him a nightmare matchup for any opponent. Adding to the firepower is veteran CJ McCollum, whose leadership and experience bolster the backcourt.
Additionally, Lithuanian center Jonas Valančiūnas and Herb Jones complete the starting five in the New Orleans Pelicans lineup. Valančiūnas is renowned for his exceptional fundamental post-play and his ability to shoot the ball from a distance. Herb Jones is a defensive menace, widely regarded as one of the best young wing defenders in the NBA at present.
Besides the starters, many other New Orleans Pelicans players form a great bench unit that further strengthens the quality of the New Orleans Pelicans lineup. Larry Nance Jr. brings defensive prowess to the frontcourt, while rookie Jordan Hawkins and Matt Ryan provide sharpshooting from the distance. Naji Marshall, Cody Zeller, and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl offer reliable back-up support in the frontcourt. The bench guards feature youngsters, Jose Alvarado and Dyson Daniels, who provide instant impact with their tenacious defensive prowess and ball-handling. Lastly, Trey Murphy III emerges as the true X-factor of the New Orleans Pelicans roster as his elite shooting can swing the momentum in the Pelicans' favor instantly.
