2024-25 New Orleans Pelicans Roster & Players | NBA
The New Orleans Pelicans roster 2024 is shaping up to be a force in the Western Conference, bolstered by the offseason blockbuster trade acquisition of Dejounte Murray. One of NBA's best two-way guards Dejounte Murray brings defensive intensity and elite playmaking skills to the Pelicans lineup. At shooting guard, veteran CJ McCollum continues to provide leadership and scoring, while the team’s All-Star small forward Brandon Ingram, adds more versatility and mid-range shooting that gives Pelicans players a reliable scoring threat on the wing. Power forward Zion Williamson, one of the most athletic and powerful players in the NBA, is poised to dominate with his explosive play and ability to attack the rim. The center spot of the Pelicans roster is filled by rookie Yves Missi, who is expected to get significant minutes in his debut season.
Coming off the bench, Jose Alvarado returns to the Pelicans lineup after resigning in the summer. Alvarado brings his ball-handling, hustle, and defensive energy to the New Orleans Pelicans roster 2024-25. Trey Murphy III emerges as the true X-factor amongst Pelicans players due to his elite shooting from three-point range. Herbert Jones is one of the best defenders in the entire NBA and will once again be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year. He will be giving the Pelicans roster a crucial two-way perimeter threat. Backup bigs Javonte Green and Daniel Theis provide depth in the frontcourt, while Jordan Hawkins is an exciting backup shooter on the Pelicans roster.
Other guards like Malcolm Hill, Jalen Crutcher, and Antonio Reeves will look to compete for minutes, while forwards Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Matt Ryan, and Jamal Cain add further depth to the New Orleans Pelicans roster. Young players such as Izaiah Brockington, Keion Brooks Jr., Trey Jemison, and Karlo Matkovic round out the New Orleans Pelicans roster 2024.
