2024-25 Los Angeles Lakers Roster & Players | NBA
The 2024-25 Los Angeles Lakers roster has renewed determination after the hiring of new head coach JJ Redick. Led by the ageless wonder “King” LeBron James, the Lakers players aim to build on their success and contend for the 2025 NBA championship.
At 39 years old, LeBron James remains the cornerstone of the Lakers roster and a beacon of leadership on and off the court. Alongside him, Japanese forward Rui Hachimura brings the high-energy two-way play to the frontcourt, while Anthony Davis anchors the defense with his dominant post presence. In the starting backcourt of the Lakers roster, D'Angelo Russell does the ball-handling duties with finesse and provides scoring prowess complemented by Austin Reaves’ tenacity and elite floor-spacing ability.
The bench unit of the Lakers roster 2024 features Jarred Vanderbilt and Cam Reddish who bolster the Lakers lineup with their great wing defense and valuable three-point shooting. Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent and Max Christie are expected to be backup guards, ensuring stable offense and playmaking from the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers lineup. Additionally, rookies Dalton Knecht and Bronny James could see valuable minutes as coach Redick looks to develop their young talent and add depth to the Lakers roster. Lastly, Centers Jaxon Hayes and Christian Koloko use their athleticism and near-the-rim finishing abilities as a backup big man, while another backup center Christian Wood adds another dimension as a sharpshooting big man to the Lakers lineup.
