Commentary

Not all is over for Durban Super Giants as they have a second bite at the cherry. They will face the winner of tomorrow's eliminator between Paarl Royals and Joburg Super Kings. Sunrisers Eastern Cape, on the other hand, are looking red-hot at the moment, and having won the title already, they know how to get the job done in the mega-final, irrespective of the opposition they face on Saturday.

The much-anticipated qualifier one ended up as an one-sided tussle but let's hope the eliminator tomorrow at The Wanderers provide all the thrills and spills. With rain-delay, this match has dragged for more than five hours, so it's time for everyone to reset and recharge. Until next time, this is Pragadeesh and Rajarshi signing off

Ottniel Baartman (Player of the Match) - Just trying to do the basics, I reckon works for me. The bowlers up front make my job easier by taking wickets. I think I can function in various roles and Aiden has handled the bowlers really well. It's going to be an exciting final and I am looking forward to the challenge

Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Eastern Cape captain) - The team is full of characters and it comes from each and everyone. They showed fantastic attitude on the field. We speak to the batters and one or two have few things to say about the conditions. We try to access the conditions in a clever way and look what's best that can be done bowlers to execute. I thought the wicket changed a lot before and after the rain. It was slow before and after, it was skidding. We thought we were few runs short. Winning the title once is fantastic but to defend it here is going to be an ultimate goal

Keshav Maharaj (Durban Super Giants captain) - We thought we bowled really well and have a chance but credit to them for bowling well. Due to the overcast conditions, we knew the ball is going to swing. We had a partnership in the middle but lost wicket regularly. We lost one or two while chasing. The guys know what's at stake. It's hurting a little bit but we know what to do in the next match

The title defense is well and truly on as Sunrisers Eastern Cape book their place in the final of the SA20. They were so clinical with the ball and the concerns of them being 15-20 runs short with the bat at the halfway stage were taken out instantly, with some high-quality fast bowling in the powerplay. The pace trio kept things tight and caused the damage up front. Batting became increasingly hard on this wicket due to the skiddy nature of the surface and it is evident from the struggles of de Kock, who looked rusty throughout his stay

Mulder tried to up the ante but he didn't get much reward for his aggression. He played a fighting knock but that wasn't impactful by any means, while Klaasen looked good with a couple of massive sixes until Baartman removed him with a smart wide delivery

The Super Giants fell apart at the back end as wickets fell in every over after the second time-out. There were never a contest in this match as the Eastern Cape were head and shoulders above the opposition in all facets of the game
