18:50 Local Time, 22:50 GMT, 04:20 IST: We are getting updates the game is called off. It was always going to be the case, specially considering the drainage, which isn't that good and chances of resumption were too slim. Both games of Washington Freedom have been rain affected and they would be gutted here that they have had to share points, specially the kind of start that they had got.
Had over more over been bowled, we would have had a result. The Freedom side were well ahead thanks to the initial onslaught from Smith and Head. But the two teams have to share points. TSK are off the mark but not in a manner that would please them much. Their skipper got some much needed runs and that too plenty of it. He scored a ton, his team got more than 200 and then it seemed it might not be enough. But then the rains have prevailed.
18:34 Local Time, 22:34 GMT, 04:04 IST: Pretty much nothing to add. Still, raining. Freedom are ahead by 22 runs, even if the 5th over would be a maiden over. We have till another hour for action to resume. Not looking great right now. There are wet puddles which will be paid attention to by the ground staff.
18:01 Local Time, 22:01 GMT, 03:31 IST: Rain has stopped play. Who would have seen that coming? The heavens opened up out of nowhere. Seems like Freedom are followed by rain. It happened in their last game as well. It was raining runs before that. Head and Smith have gotten stuck into the TSK attack. Head has been provided with a chance and he wants the Super Kings to pay for it. We will get you all the updates as and when we have it.
We have not got 5 overs in which would have guaranteed a result with the DLS score, so it will be a no-result if the action does not resume.
It has started to rain heavily!
4.1 Naveen-ul-Haq to Steve Smith, NO-BALL! Shuffles and sees the ball go outside the popping crease
This is some hitting - Head is really showing his class and destruction in the early parts of this chase! Faf and Co. need to do something soon because the alarm bells are starting to ring!

3.6 Aaron Hardie to Travis Head, low full toss across off, Head reaches for it and drives it to the left of deep extra cover for a couple
3.5 Aaron Hardie to Travis Head, SIX MORE! This is going bad to worse for Hardie and TSK. Pitched up into the pads, Head gets underneath the fuller delivery to flick this over deep square leg for a maximum
