Christian McCaffrey is an American professional football running back for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League as of 2024. The Carolina Panthers selected him in the 2017 NFL Draft and is the first running back in league history to have successive seasons with 100 or more catches. He achieved the record for the fastest player in league history to amass 3,000 rushing yards and 3,000 receiving yards in just 57 games in 2021.

Christian McCaffrey is an active running back for the San Francisco 49ers and his overall contributions to the team have allowed him to become the highest-paid running back in the league and reset the record with this new $38 million deal in 2024. McCaffrey was an important 2023-24 49ers team member who went all the way to Super Bowl LVIII. While he had an excellent season altogether, he also left his mark in the Super Bowl where he finished with a touchdown and 160 total yards in a losing contribution.
