Penei Sewell is an American Samoan football offensive tackle for the Detroit Lions as of the 2024 NFL season. The Lions selected him with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. That same year, Sewell signed a 4-year rookie deal for $24.1 million. As a rookie, he started 16 games and missed only the regular season finale. He was named to the 2021 PFWA All-Rookie Team.
