Missouri-born defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton was signed as an undrafted agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. Wharton is a two-time Super Bowl (LVII, LVIII) winner and will enter his fifth season at the Arrowhead Stadium in 2024. In his NFL career, Wharton has recorded 85 tackles and 7 sacks. Growing up in University City, Missouri, he attended Maplewood Richmond Heights High School. Wharton transferred to the University High School after spending three seasons at Maplewood. He was selected to the first-team All-Suburban Central Conference honors.


Wharton committed to his home state Missouri S&T playing for the Miners in 2016. He finished his freshman year with 19 tackles and equaled the team lead for sacks (5.5). During his college career, He was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference's all-league team three times and was an All-Super Region 3 pick twice. Wharton had a successful final two seasons appearing in Don Hansen’s squad and recording 56 tackles with 7.5 sacks in the 2019 season before entering the NFL.
