Jannik Sinner is an Italian tennis player, who was born on August 16, 2001. He holds the No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings in singles, which is his career high. Sinner has created havoc with his current performances, and proved to be a real threat in the 2024 Grand Slam title conversation. Living up to the hype, he won the first Grand Slam of the season, defeating Daniil Medvedev 3-6 3-6 6-4 6-4 6-3 in the final of the 2024 Australian Open. Later on in the year, he beat Taylor Fritz in straight sets to win the 2024 US Open and the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals.

With his powerful performance, Jannik Sinner sealed a spot in the 2025 Australian Open final, defeating Ben Shelton in the semifinal and Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals. Sinner's biggest accomplishment of the season was winning his third Grand Slam title at the 2025 Australian Open, defeating German prodigy Alexander Zverev in the final by 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. By finishing as the winner of the tournament, he won a prize money of around A$3,500,000.

Jannik Sinner won the 2023 Canadian Open, which was his first Masters level event. He has won one ATP doubles title and 18 ATP singles titles. He reached his first Grand Slam semifinal at the 2023 Wimbledon Open, where he defeated Roman Safiullin. However, he was knocked out by Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. Sinner took revenge of the 2023 ATP Finals by defeating Novak Djokovic and becoming the first player to defeat him in a Davis Cup singles match after Juan Martin del Potro. He became the third player ever to defeat Djokovic twice in 12 days, along with Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray.

Jannik Sinner entered professional tournaments at the age of 16, despite having little success as a junior. By the time he was 17, Sinner was one of the few athletes to have won multiple ATP Challenger Tour titles. After cracking the top 100, making his first ATP semifinal, and winning the Next Generation ATP Finals in Milan in 2019, he was named the ATP Newcomer of the Year. He is among the most aggressive baseliners on tour, and likes to dictate rallies and keep the points short.
