: The surface looks a real good one. The bowling length should be a touch fuller with the new ball. Ask the batters to play with a vertical bat and bring both edges into the equation.

7 PM local time (10:30 PM IST): With this massive win at the Newlands Cricket Ground for MI Cape Town against Pretoria Capitals, the league stage of the third season of SA20 has culminated. The tournament will now move to the business end as MI Cape Town will lock horns with Paarl Royals on Tuesday. For now, I, Keshav and my colleague, Lavil, bid you goodbye.
Colin Ingram (MI Cape Town captain): We have been so well supported through the tournament. The crowd has been absolutely fantastic and we are really grateful. After first couple of years of the tournament did not go to plan, to have them in these numbers is extremely satisfying and it's great to see them up there. It's been a full house and a great atmosphere. The team has felt that this has been our home ground and the support has been humbling. (On left-right combination) We have some great players who perform those roles nicely. It's always nice when it works, so long may that continue at the back end. It just opens up both sides of the wicket. Lot of the ground across the countries have been one small side, soo to be able to take advantage of it has been a great strength of the team. We have had some terrific performance out there. These guys have been at the top of the run-scoring lists, there have been some fantastic catches, the bowlers have been incredible. Often we have had them three down early and then on top of it we have got a good unit. We have enjoyed each others company and are looking forward to the back end of the tournament.
Kyle Verreynne (Pretoria Capitals captain): I think we tried taking the momentum in the start of the competition. We probably should have won the first game but the rain caught up with us through that first period. Then just struggled to get further and struggled to put results together. It is probably not the game we wanted but a lot of talent there. There are a lot of young guys that have put their hands up through the competition and that's the positive signs for us. Got a bit of time off to reflect on where we went wrong in this competition. We have got a lot of senior players in our side. So whatever group comes back next year we will sort of know where we went wrong and what we can work on. And hopefully we can come back fiery.
Dane Piedt (POTM, 3/28): Feels amazing, had flashbacks of watching the greats of West Province. Special mention to my wife and kids in the stands. The Great Hashim Amla says that you need to give a high five. You need to keep the energy flowing in the camp. Looking at the talent, it has been brilliant. It has been awesome to see the crowd and entertain the Newlands faithful
6:33 PM local time (10:03 PM IST): MI Cape Town win the game by 95 runs and have been invincible at home

In what was very much like a practice game for the MI Cape Town ahead of the Qualifier, they rammed over the Pretoria Capitals by wrapping the innings in 14 overs. And it's fascinating that they did it with seven changes in their playing XI for this game.
Capitals, with a target of 202 runs on the board started off miserably with five wickets in the first five overs. Dane Piedt started with the ball and scalped the wicket of Will Jacks on the first delivery of the innings. In his next over, he dismissed the other opener Steve Stolk, who chopped the ball into the stumps as he went for a sweep.
At this point, the visitors needed a partnership to stabilise the innings, however, they instead suffered a collapse in the fifth over as George Linde struck on back-to-back deliveries to get the wickets of Will Smeed and Marques Ackermann. Linde missed his hat trick, however the team got one as Verreynne got run out at the batting end and half the side was back into the hut.
James Neesham then played a decent knock with sixes in three successive overs, even as he witnessed the dismissals of two more batters--Lion Cachet and Muthusamy. In the 13th over, he sat up against Piedt and hoicked it to deep mid-wicket, searching for maximum runs, however Matthew Potts, with his presence of mind grabbed a brilliant catch to send the last recognised packing back to the pavilion. Following Neesham's wicket, it was just a matter of 11 deliveries for the Capitals to finish their campaign with a massive loss.
For MI Cape Town, Dane Piedt and Thomas Kaber picked three wickets apiece while George Linde picked two wickets in as many overs. This all-round performance ensured that the Cape Town would end the league stage unassailable at home. They would hope to transfer this winning momentum into the Qualifier against Paarl Royals on Tuesday, February 4.
