Migael Pretorius is a South African cricketer who was born on March 24, 1995. He is a right-arm medium bowler and a right-handed batsman. In the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup in Centurion in October 2016, 21-year-old Migael Pretorius, a dynamic medium pacer, made his first-class debut for Northerns against Eastern Province. It was a perfect beginning to the lanky pacer's first-class career as he took six wickets on his debut in order to help his team win by ten wickets.

He became a member of Durham County Cricket Club in 2023. Pretorius became an overseas player for Somerset County Cricket Club in April 2024. He was selected as Gerald Coetzee's injury substitute for South Africa's test series against the West Indies in July 2024.

Migael Pretorius is a cricketer from South Africa. He is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium bowler. Migael Pretorius made his first-class debut for Northerns against Eastern Province in the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup at Centurion in October 2016. He made his List A debut with Northerns against North West on December 13, 2015. With 42 dismissals in 10 games, he was the top wicket-taker in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup.

He was included in the Durban Qalandars' team for the first T20 Global League season in August 2017. The tournament was first postponed until November 2018 by Cricket South Africa in October 2017, but it was shortly cancelled. On September 1, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for Northerns in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup.

Despite playing in only about 20 first-class matches, the right-arm pacer has recorded a respectable number of wickets. In addition to being a good bowler, Pretorius is also a useful batsman in the lower order, with his highest first-class score of 81* coming against Boland in March 2018. A few months later, in June 2018, Migael was named in the Highveld Lions squad for the 2018–19 season. He was included in the Highveld Lions squad for the 2018–19 campaign in June 2018. He was included in North West's 2018 Africa T20 Cup team in September of that year.

He was included in the North West team for the 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup in September 2019. Pretorius was included in South Africa's Test team for their series against Sri Lanka in December 2020.[9] For their series against Pakistan in March 2021, Pretorius was selected for South Africa's Twenty20 International (T20I) team. Prior to the 2021–22 South African cricket season, he was included on the Free State team's roster in April 2021.

He signed up with Durham County Cricket Club in 2023. Pretorius became an overseas player for Somerset County Cricket Club in April 2024. He was selected as Gerald Coetzee's injury substitute for South Africa's test series against the West Indies in July 2024.

Migael Pretorius, a seasoned player who rose to prominence in his late 20s, is a swing-bowling all-rounder who can bat in the top six. He grew up in a family of sports enthusiasts in Vereeniging, south of Johannesburg, and started playing cricket with his twin brother Kristiaan at the Bakers' Mini-Cricket camps. Pretorius spent his time honing his bowling abilities on the concrete net their father had constructed for them in the backyard. His career future appeared to be set when he joined the Northerns academy after playing for the first squad at Waterkloof High. Pretorius made an impression in his first season, taking 42 wickets from 10 games to lead the three-day first-class league, which is the second tier of South Africa's domestic setup.

Migael Pretorius made his first-class debut when he was 21 years old in the Sunfoil Three-Day Cup at Centurion in 2016 while playing for Northerns versus Eastern Province. The pacer grabbed six wickets on his debut, establishing his dominance from the start. With 42 wickets from 10 FC games, he finished the season as the tournament's top wicket-taker.

As a child, Migael Pretorius wanted to become an electrical engineer and follow his father's footsteps. Like his father, he enjoyed playing cricket. A means of competing with Kristiaan, his twin brother. Every year, Kristiaan continues to perform in Last Man Stands.

Together, the twins also played Bakers' Mini Cricket, which is now known as KFC Mini Cricket. During their stay at Erladus Park Primary School, they also participated in bulletjie rugby, which is rugby's counterpart of mini cricket. Migael would subsequently turn away from cricket and focus more on sports at Constantia Primary and Waterkloof High Schools. He was an excellent sprinter and threw the javelin with his powerful arm.
