Expert Summary

The Chicago Bears are one of the most intriguing teams entering 2024.

Justin Fields is no longer the face of the franchise. That honor belongs to Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick out of USC. Keenan Allen was also a significant coup for the franchise, provided he remains fit. Rome Odunze should add further spark to a completely revamped Bears offense. All in all, the offseason was a massive success for the Bears. They addressed major questions and came out of the NFL draft with highly-touted picks.

One could probably be comfortable pencilling the Bears in for nine wins this year. Considering they will not face a division rival until Week 11 (six of Chicago's final eight games are against division rivals), the Bears could potentially hit the ground running in Caleb Williams' first year in the National Football League. Our playoff chances algorithm has the Bears with a 33% chance of making the playoffs outright, though they could sneak in through a wildcard spot.
