Expert Summary
When it comes to the Kansas City Chiefs, the question is can they do the nigh-impossible and win a third straight Super Bowl?
History suggests otherwise but Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs care little about reading history and more about making some.
The Chiefs had an eventful offseason, losing star corner L'Jarius Sneed, Willie Gay Jr. and Mike Edwards. They bought low on Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown and brought in Carson Wentz as QB insurance. Perhaps the most interesting move, though, was the one in the draft.
There were strong rumors that the Chiefs were targeting Kingsley Suamataia in the first round. They ditched that idea and picked Xavier Worthy, ending up with Suamataia regardless. The Chiefs had a really strong draft and didn't really need too many reinforcements in the offseasons.
All things considered, our playoff chances algorithm puts the Chiefs' Super Bowl chances at 17%. Bear in mind, the Bengals and Ravens have reloaded while you can also bet on Kyle Shanahan learning from his mistakes this time around.
