The Kansas City Chiefs, who fell short of their dream to 3-peat in the 2024-25 season, were crushed by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. They will enter the 2025 season as the favorite to come out of the AFC once again. However, the 9-time straight-reigning AFC West champions will face more resistance from the division in 2025, as the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, and Denver Broncos all improved.

While the Raiders brought in Super Bowl-winning head coach Pete Carroll as the new voice in the locker room, the Broncos and Chargers both built on their run to the postseason from last year by adding more talent in the offseason.

What is the Kansas City Chiefs' depth chart for 2025-26?

While Patrick Mahomes is the one who stirs the drink on the Chiefs' offense, it’s the big men in front of him who help the superstar quarterback keep upright. After watching the Eagles' defensive line dominate Kansas City’s offensive line in the Super Bowl, Chiefs GM Brett Veach parted ways with offensive guard Joe Thuney in the offseason. The left tackle position, which was a big concern for the Chiefs last year, was addressed by the front office in both the FA and the 2025 draft. After handing out a two-year contract to offensive tackle Jaylon Moore in March (via Spotrac), Kansas City also added OT Josh Simmons in the first round of the draft to make Mahomes' blindside protection group one of the team’s strengths.

The Chiefs also covered up some defensive holes by snagging cornerback Kristian Fulton from the free agency market to pair him opposite Trent McDuffie. After letting both defensive tackles, Tershawn Wharton and Derrick Nnadi, walk away, Brett Veach filled the gaping holes by adding defensive tackles Jerry Tillery and Omarr Norman-Lott through FA and draft, respectively.
