Born on December 13, 1991, Vladimir Andreyevich Tarasenko is a Russian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League (NHL). Before his NHL career, he honed his skills in the system of the Sibir Novosibirsk organization, making his debut with the senior team in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) during the 2008–09 season. After three seasons with Novosibirsk, he was traded to SKA Saint Petersburg in 2012.

Tarasenko's NHL journey began when he was selected in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. He joined the Blues for the 2012–13 season, where he spent over a decade, earning recognition as one of the franchise's top scorers. During his time in St. Louis, he participated in three NHL All-Star Games and played a pivotal role in the Blues winning the Stanley Cup in 2019. In February 2023, Tarasenko was traded to the New York Rangers.
