Brad Marchand born in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Canada, began his professional hockey career in 2004-05 with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He played two seasons with the Wildcats, scoring 38 goals and 57 assists in 129 games. He was drafted in the fourth round (71st overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
