Jarrett Allen is a professional American basketball player who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA as of March 2025. Allen started his basketball journey at Round Rock High School. After a year, he joined St. Stephen's Episcopal School and led his team to win two SPC championships. After completing high school, he enrolled at the University of Texas and played basketball for the Texas Longhorns. In his only college season, he averaged 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Allen was drafted in the 2017 NBA draft as a 22nd overall pick by the Brooklyn Nets. As a rookie, he started 32 games out of 72 appearances he made that season, averaging 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as per Sports Reference. Allen stayed with the Nets for four seasons before joining the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 14, 2021.
