Born on June 12, 1990, in Los Angeles, California, United States, Holiday was a crucial part of the Milwaukee Bucks team that won the NBA championship in 2021. Also, in 2024 Holiday led his team Boston Celtics to their 18th NBA Championship.


Known for his elite defensive skills, Holiday is a six-time NBA All-Defensive Team member and won the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2021. He also won an Olympic gold medal with Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, Holiday is part of the USA team which has reached the finals of the basketball tournament.


Holiday was born in a basketball family, as both his parents Shawn and Toya Holiday played college basketball at Arizona State. Holiday’s basketball journey started at Campbell Hall School in Los Angeles, where he was named the 2008 Gatorade National Player of the Year and California Mr. Basketball.


Holiday then played college basketball at UCLA, where he averaged 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in 35 appearances. After just one season in college, he declared for the draft, where the Philadelphia 76ers selected him with the 17th overall in 2009.


After three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, Holiday was traded to the Boston Celtics this offseason. Alongside superstars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Holiday, and this trio lifted the NBA Title in 2024.
