Derrick Labrent Jones Jr. is a professional American basketball player who plays as a forward in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers as of February 2025. Jones Jr. attended Archbishop John Carroll High School. As a senior, he averaged 19.2 points per game. Jones Jr. finished his high school career as the highest scorer in school history with 1,645 points and also collected 1,029 rebounds, as per his college profile. After finishing high school, he attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As a freshman, he appeared in 30 games with 15 starts and averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, according to Sports Reference. He was named Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball in 2015.

Jones Jr. declared for the 2016 NBA draft in April 2016, however, he remained undrafted. He joined the Phoenix Suns on September 25, 2016, for a training camp but secured a place in the opening lineup for the Suns against the Philadelphia 76ers on November 19, 2016. According to Real Basketball GM, Jones Jr. scored 29 points, his career-best, against the Boston Celtics on January 22, 2025. As of February 1, 2025, he has appeared in 466 games while starting 206 games, scoring 3,285 points, collecting 1,539 rebounds, and dishing out 346 assists, as per ESPN.
