Phew! What a match! What a brilliant game to witness, to cover and bring to you all! So Group 2 is over, and the two teams to go through from the Super 8s to the semi-finals are England and South Africa. Now, we turn our attention to Group 1. First up, it will be India taking on Australia in St. Lucia. A big match anyway, it has a lot of bearing on what the fate of the group will be like in the end! You can join us here for that one. And then, it will be Afghanistan trying to win over Bangladesh accordingly, to try and make the semis. That match's coverage will happen right here. We will come to you live from Antigua itself. Aiden Markram (South Africa captain): It's relief ultimately, to get through to the semi-finals! It wasn't all that convincing, but we got the job done. I thought after the rain break the wicket got better to bat on, but then, like it has been for us, we let things slip and made it difficult for ourselves. Still, thankfully, we held on to our nerves and got over the line. The players understand their roles and are always ready to learn. The conversation of trying to get the job done early will be there in the change room and I'm sure the guys will agree to that. I thought about bowling more overs of spin in the power play itself when the wicket looked like gripping a lot more. Kagiso Rabada agreed to bowling much later on, and credit to him for that. We have areas to improve upon, we know that, but the good thing is that whoever we face in the semi-final, we will bring our best game because it is yet to come, even after seven wins in a row!
Rovman Powell (West Indies captain): I think credit has to be given to the boys, they gave it their all. But as a batting group, this was a performance to be forgotten. Both teams faltered with the bat of course, but out bowling effort was commendable. They almost got us the win even with only 120-odd runs to defend. I still think that we have done brilliantly to move from number 9 to number 1 in the world in this format and there is a buzz around the Caribbean about our resurgence. People are rallying around the West Indies and the cricket is heading in the right direction.

Tabraiz Shamsi is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: Yeah look I am awaiting. I wasn't even out there. This has been the theme of the tournament of managing ways to win games. We were waiting for Jansen's reaction and he seemed very confident. Obviously the people out there, the supporters will like bigger wins but things like this keeps us in check. Overcoming those moments is very important and it was again one of those days. Last time I played here, I went for 50 runs. I got the backing from the coaching staff where I haven't done well but the guys who bowled before me set it up perfectly. From the first game we have won it as a team and not as individuals. We know we have so many match winners with each guy capable of winning it. Little bits and piece of contribution has helped us. It's always a bit of a one sided love affair with South Africa World Cup and rain. We knew what was in store and no crazy thoughts went along in the dug out to be honest.
South Africa win by 3 wickets with 5 balls to spare!
An innings filled with drama and see-sawing flows! It was one team taking the upper hand and then, the other team came back. Then there was a repeat, only the teams swapped their roles! Finally, South Africa held on to their nerves and pulled off this run chase to get into the final four!
After two overs, South Africa lost both their openers to Andre Russell and then came the rain! It was quite heavy, and the match was held up for quite some time. Finally, after everything, the game began again with three overs lost and a revised target.
Since then, the match swung like a pendulum from one team to another! Runs were scored, extras were given away, misfields happened. Quite similarly, there were dot balls, there were uncomfortable moments for the batters and there were wickets falling every time the Proteas were getting ahead!
With the ball, Alzarri Joseph, Rusell himself and Roston Chase were tremendous! But the spin twins, Gudakesh Motie and Akeal Hosein were disappointing. Motie's only over cost him a whopping 20 runs!
With the bat, there were contributions right through, but no one really grabbed the bull by horns and got the job done, until the turn of Marco Jansen. The tall right-handed batter stepped up to the plate, did not do anything rash and saw his team home with a mighty six!
With this, the West Indies' tournament is over. They gave it their all in this game, played some fantastic cricket, but were unable to get over the line. South Africa, after yet another tough game, win it and go through to the semi-finals by a bare margin and under a lot of pressure!
South Africa do it! No choking this time, they get the job done, even if it is rather stutteringly! But they remain unbeaten and move through to the semi-finals!
16.1 Obed McCoy to Marco Jansen, SIX! Jansen finishes it off in style and West Indies have been eliminated from the T20 World Cup. South Africa become the second semi finalists from the group with England and finishes as table toppers. That was a full length slower one around the middle stump, Jansen waits for it and bangs it down the ground and clears the long on boundary.
Third man is in place, fine-leg is up.
