Thisara Perera (Colombo Strikers captain): Pleased with this win! We have done the first thing and that is qualify for the playoffs. Now, we have another opportunity tomorrow to carry the winning momentum forward. We read the conditions and the pitch nicely. Our bowlers did a good job in chipping away with wickets at regular intervals and our batters batted maturely to close out the game like the way they did!

Niroshan Dickwella (Galle Marvels captain): Disappointed that we could not win today but a consolation from this loss is that we have ensured finishing in the top two. I think we let a few runs out there in the first innings. Another 20-odd runs could have made it more interesting on this wicket.

Matheesha Pathirana (Player of the Match, 4/20 off 3.5 overs): My performances have been up and down, but I wasn't really thinking too much about the previous games, just focused on this one, executed my plans and got my rewards tonight!

An excellently paced run chase has ensured that the Colombo Strikers are in the playoffs!

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Waseem Muhammad got them off to a great start with a score in excess of 60 runs in the power play. Gurbaz chose a wrong delivery to to go after and got cleaned up but Waseem, after surviving twice, made the chance count and picked up an important half-century.

Glenn Phillips played a really good hand by hanging in there and not letting anything slip at any stage. He batted for 32 deliveries and scored 31 runs but ensured that one end was held up right till the end.

Bowling-wise, apart from Maheesh Theekshana, no other bowler got the kind of control in to both pick up wickets and be economical. Jeffrey Vandersay was decent, threatening the batters at times, but he failed to pick up a wicket. The extras that they gave away did not help matters either.

But as Colombo Strikers could not chase these runs down in 12 overs, Galle Marvels have ensured a top two finish in the points table!
