Dylan Larkin is an American ice hockey player and captain of the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL as of February 2025. He was drafted 15th overall by the Red Wings in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Before his professional career, Larkin excelled at the University of Michigan, earning Freshman of the Year honors and recognition on the All-Freshman Team, All-Big Ten First Team, and Second Team All-American.

Larkin began his hockey journey with Detroit Belle Tire and played in the 2009 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament. He joined USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, scoring 13 goals and 14 assists with the U17 team and finishing with 31 goals and 56 points for the U18 team. He also ranked 17th among North American skaters by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau ahead of the 2014 NHL Draft.
