Born on February 5, 1999, in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, Arshdeep Singh is a professional Indian cricketer. He plays for the Indian men’s cricket team in the limited-overs internationals. He represents the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and plays for Punjab in Indian domestic cricket.

As of December 2024, Singh is the second-highest wicket-taker for the Indian team in T20Is and the Kings in IPL, respectively.

Arshdeep Singh IPL Salary

According to IPL’s official website, the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) signed Arshdeep Singh for his base price of ₹20 lakh in the IPL 2019 mini-auction. He was retained for the same price for the next two seasons before the Punjab Kings (PBKS) retained him for ₹4 crore. After being retained for the same price for a couple of more seasons, Singh was released ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, the Punjab Kings availed the right-to-match (RTM) card to acquire him for a whopping price of ₹18 crore in the mega auction after a heavy bidding war amongst multiple teams. He was also the joint-fourth most expensive bid in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
