As of March 2025, the record for the most runs in IPL belongs to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star and former captain Virat Kohli. He has scored 8,004 runs in 244 innings (252 matches) and is 1235 runs ahead of the former Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan has made 6,769 runs in 221 innings (222 matches) and is holding the second spot as of March 2025.
