IPL 2024 Schedule
IPL 2024 schedule
On February 22, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the IPL schedule 2024 for the first two weeks. The 17th edition of IPL will commence with a blockbuster clash between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 22. Although the Playoff dates have not yet been announced, it is anticipated that the Final will take place on May 26, 2024.
Due to the Lok Sabha elections in the country this year, the remaining IPL match schedule has not been finalized yet. Following the announcement of the dates for the 18th Lok Sabha elections, the Board will examine and resolve any concerns regarding the first two weeks' timetable. The BCCI will then collaborate with the local government to finalise the calendar for the remaining 2024 IPL schedule of the season, considering the dates of voting.
Within the first 21 IPL 2024 matches, there have been 4 double-headers scheduled. There will be two double headers on the opening weekend. On Saturday afternoon, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) will play the Delhi Capitals (DC), while in the evening, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The action will go to Jaipur on Sunday afternoon, March 24, when the home team Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The last year’s finalists and the 2022 champions Gujarat Titans (GT) will then take on the five-time winners Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday night.
