The first overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft, Peyton Manning is a former quarterback who retired from the game in 2016 after leading the Denver Broncos to a win in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. Manning though, was primarily known for his time with the Indianapolis Colts with whom he played 14 seasons from 1998 to 2011. He won a Super Bowl with the Colts as well, with that victory coming in the 2006-07 season.

After his horrific neck injury prior to the beginning of the 2011-12 season, the Colts released Manning in March 2012. In that very offseason, Manning signed his last contract in the NFL, a 5-year $96 million deal with the Denver Broncos.
His highest earnings came in the year 2004 when a base salary of $535,000 and a signing bonus of $34.5 million saw Manning pocket $35,035,000. Manning is one of the highest earning players in the history of the NFL, having made over $248 million over the course of his 18-year career.

Manning has been a rather sought after name in the field of advertising and brand promotion, having worked with the likes of Reebok, Nike, Gatorade, Nationwide Mutual Insurance, and Buick among many others. He reportedly took home $12 million in endorsements during 2015, a figure which only went up to an estimated $15 million in 2016, the year of his retirement.
When Manning joined hands with Papa John's in 2012, he also got on board as a franchisee of 31 of their outlets in the Denver area. He however, sold the very same stake in March 2018 after the company split with the NFL, relinquishing its title as the pizza partner of the league.

Peyton Manning Charity Work
Back in 1999, Manning and his wife founded the Peyback Foundation, which has since then provided more than $13 million in the form of programs and donations. The foundation focuses on helping disadvantaged kids.
There's the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital which came into being after St. Vincent Hospital renamed its children hospital to recognize Manning's generous contributions over the years to the establishment.
