Chet Thomas Holmgren is an American center/power forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born on May 1, 2002, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S, Holmgren attended Minnehaha Academy, a Christian private school in Minneapolis. He won four state championships during his time in Minnehaha. He also won numerous accolades including being named Mr. Basketball USA, Gatorade National Player of the Year, Naismith Prep Player of the Year, Morgan Wootten National Player of the Year, a McDonald's All-American, and Minnesota Mr. Basketball. For college, Holmgren attended Gonzaga, where he played for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. He was the number one player of the 2021 class and a consensus five-star recruit.

The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Holmgren with the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He missed the entire 2022/23 season due to foot injury and made his NBA debut on October 25, 2023, against the Chicago Bulls, registering 11 points and four rebounds in a 124–104 win.

Holmgren put up his career-high 36 points on November 18, 2023, against the Golden State Warriors. He is the only rookie alongside the legendary Michael Jordan to put up at least 35 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block, and two three-pointers made in a game.

Internationally, Holmgren won the gold and the MVP award while representing the United States at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia.
