Vladimir Andreyevich Tarasenko is a Russian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing with the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League. Born on December 13, 1991, he was drafted in the first round (16th overall pick) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. Before the NHL Tarasenko showed his talent in the Kontinental Hockey League during the 2008-2009 season with the Novosibirsk and later was traded to the SKA Saint Petersburg in 2012 but he decided to play in the NHL.
Tarasenko made his NHL debut for the 2012-2013 season and quickly established his name in the St. Louis Blues. In his 11 seasons with the Blues, Tarasenko made his name as the top scorer of the league, earning a spot in the NHL All-Star Games. He won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019 and was traded to the New York Ranges in February 2023. Tarasenko is playing with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent.
