Vladimir Tarasenko is a professional Russian ice hockey player who plays as a right winger for the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born in Yaroslavl, Russian SFAR, Soviet Union, on December 3, 1991.

Vladimir Tarasenko's playing career began in 2008 with Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He had a solid rookie season, scoring seven goals and 10 points in 38 games. He was also selected to represent Russia at the 2009 World U18 Championships, where he scored eight goals in seven games and was named a tournament all-star.

Vladimir was also selected to represent Russia at the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, where he finished third in the team, scoring five points in six games.

In 2010, Vladimir was selected fourth overall by the St. Louis Blues in the NHL Entry Draft. He spent two more seasons in the KHL, playing for SKA Saint Petersburg. Vladimir joined the Blues for the 2012-13 season and quickly established himself as one of the most skilled goal-scorers in the NHL. He scored 8 goals in his rookie season.

In 2023, Vladimir was traded to the New York Rangers and made his team's debut in a game against the Seattle Kraken. In the offseason, Vladimir was traded to the Ottawa Senators. He is expected to be a key player for the Senators in the 2023-24 season.
