Tyler Bertuzzi is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, Tyler was selected 78th overall in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) draft and began his career with Guelph Storm, scoring 17 points and accumulating 117 penalty minutes in his first season with them.

Moving on, he was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round (58th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft while Bertuzzi was still with Guelph Storm in the OHL and stayed there until the 2014-15 season, helping them win the OHL championship and reach the Memorial Cup final in 2014. He spent the next two seasons with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Grand Rapids Griffins before making his NHL debut on November 8, 2016. Although he went pointless in seven games that season with the Red Wings, he excelled in the Calder Cup playoffs, earning MVP honors with 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 19 games, and setting a Grand Rapids record with 23 playoff goals.

Bertuzzi started the 2017-18 season with Grand Rapids but was called to the Red Wings on December 21, 2017 and scored his first NHL point and goal in early 2018, finishing the season with 24 points in 48 games. The following season, he scored 21 goals and 47 points, earning a spot in the 2020 NHL All-Star Game. After signing a two-year contract with the Red Wings on July 31, 2021, Bertuzzi was traded to the Boston Bruins on March 2, 2023. He then signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 2, 2023.
