Artemi Panarin is a Russian ice hockey right winger in the National Hockey League, currently playing with the New York Rangers as an alternate captain. Born on October 30, 1991, in Korkino, Russia, he is known for his offensive and playmaking skills. Panarin nurtured his hockey skills in the local youth leagues and joined the Russian club team Vityaz Chekhov's junior system. Panarin continued to excel with his youth teams. Later he went on to play for the Ak Bars Kazan and SKA Saint Petersburg in the KHL. Panarin then decided to leave Russia and try his luck in the NHL. Panarin was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015 and debuted in the NHL with them.

He quickly adopted the North American hockey style and collected an impressive score of 77 points. Panarin won the Cedar Memorial Trophy as the top rookie of the league during the 2015-2016 season. In 2017, Panarin joined the Columbus Blue Jackets, where he again stood out. He contributed 80+ points in back-to-back seasons. His impressive score made him a key player in the NHL and also for the Blue Jackets. In 2019, he signed a contract with the New York Rangers and is still playing with them.
