Artemi Panarin, nicknamed “Breadman” is a professional Russian ice hockey right-winger and an alternate captain for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on October 30, 1991, in Korkino, Russia, he made his NHL debut in 2015 with the Chicago Blackhawks. Prior to joining the NHL, Panarin plied his trade with Vityaz Chekhov, Ak Bars Kazan, and SKA Saint Petersburg. His achievements during his time in the KHL included making the KHL All-Star game, KHL First All-Star Team and winning the Gagarin Cup with Petersburg.

His debut season in the NHL with the Blackhawks included notable milestones like scoring first NHL goal, first hat-trick. Notably, he also won the Calder Memorial Trophy and the Kharlamov Trophy for his impressive showings. However, he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2017 and spent two seasons with the Jackets. Moving forward, he joined the New York Rangers on a 7-year contract for $81,500,000.

In 2022, Panarin achieved another

milestone by becoming the fifth fastest player (among active players) to secure 600 career points. His other notable achievements include two NHL All-Star game appearances and an NHL First All-Star team appearance. Internationally, Panarin has represented the Russian national team at various levels, notably winning a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in 2011.
