Australian cricketer David Warner was born in Paddington, New South Wales, on October 27, 1986. He is a left-handed opening batsman and a right-arm medium bowler. As of December 2023, Warner, who is renowned for his "aggressive" batting style, had 49 hundred to his career for Australia. He is the first Australian cricket player without first-class cricket experience to be selected for the national squad in 132 years.

As an opening batsman with the Delhi Daredevils, Warner made his IPL debut in 2009. He was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014, and in 2015, he was appointed captain. Now tying for sixth place in IPL history in terms of victories, he captained Sunrisers to the 2016 championship. He signed with the Delhi Capitals in 2022, and he has been held back for the 2024 auction.

In domestic cricket, he plays for Sydney Thunder and New South Wales.

Who are David Warner’s Parents?

David Warner was born to Howard Warner and his wife Lorraine. Both his parents were born and raised in Australia.

David Warner’s Mother

David Warner’s mother Lorraine Warner worked as a nurse. She was born and brought up in Australia. When David was 13, his coach asked him to try batting right-handed because he took the aerial route frequently while batting left-handed. However, his mother advised him to continue batting left-handed, and he is now one of the best left-handed batsmen in world cricket.

David Warner's Father?

David Warner’s father is Howard Warner. Howard was born and raised in Australia, like his mother. Howard worked in a heavy machinery shop when David was young. Although David showed signs of becoming a cricketer, his family struggled to arrange money for a cricket bat when he was 10.

David Warner’s Siblings

David Warner has one sibling, Steven Warner, who is his elder brother. David has said that his brother's story has inspired him to strive for excellence.

While Steven is not so popular on social media, one of his Instagram posts went viral on the internet. In that post, Steven expressed his disappointment after Sunrisers Hyderabad removed David from the playing XI in the 2022 IPL.

Who is David Warner's Wife?

David Warner is married to retired Australian professional ironwoman and surf lifesaver Candice. The couple got hitched in the year 2015. Candice has appeared on multiple Australian TV shows.

David Warner’s Kids

David Warner and Candice are parents to 3 daughters, with Ivy Mae being the eldest one. Ivy was born in 2014. She has regularly attended her father’s IPL matches at the stadium.

Like Candice Warner, Ivy gained popularity on social media after David and Candice created TikTok videos with her.

David Warner and Candice welcomed their second daughter Indi Rae in the year 2016. Indi has earned the cricket fans’ attention with her batting skills. Her parents have posted videos of her batting on social media. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli gifted Indi Rae his playing jersey after a Test against Australia.

Candice Warner gave birth to her third daughter Isla Rose in 2019. Even Isla has been a part of the Warner family’s TikTok videos on social media. Her parents have regularly shared her cute pictures on Instagram.
