Sam Curran is an English cricketer. He bowls left-arm pace and is a left-handed batsman. His full name is Samuel Matthew Curran.
The English all-rounder was born on June 3, 1998 in Northampton, Northamptonshire, England. He belongs to a family of cricketers. Curran grew up in Rusape, Zimbabwe before returning to the United Kingdom.

Sam Curran was born to Kevin Curran and Sarah Curran. Kevin was a former Zimbabwean cricketer. He played 11 ODI matches for the Zimbabwe cricket team.
Kevin was a pace-bowling all-rounder. He picked up nine wickets and scored 287 runs for his country. Unfortunately, he died due to a heart attack on October 10, 2012, aged 53.

Kevin Curran had gone out for a jog in Mutare. He unfortunately collapsed there which led to his demise at the age of 53 years on 10th October 2022. His actual reason for death remained under the shadows for a while. Allan Lamb who was a teammate of Kevin’s at the Northamptonshire club paid homage to his soul and quoted his death as an “absolute body blow”.
