Steve Smith plays for the Australian national cricket team and New South Wales in the domestic circuit of Australian cricket. The Australian stylish batter is reportedly said to have an estimated net worth of $ 25 million.

Smith, who started his cricket career as a leg-spinner after being inspired by the late Shane Warne, amazed the viewers of the game with his fidgety batting stance. Smith has dominated the batting, particularly in the red-ball format, before his suspension in the infamous ball-tampering saga in Cape Town in 2018. He bounced back after the one-year hiatus from Test cricket with twin Ashes centuries against England in the Birmingham Test of 2019 Ashes.

Smith is regarded as one of the fabulous batters with his contemporaries like Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli and Joe Root. The group of the four batting greats has a special place in the hearts of cricket fanatics - Fab 4 - as they call them.

Smith received the same price for the next two seasons at Rising Pune Supergiants and also led the team in the final of IPL 2017 only to lose by a whisker to Mumbai Indians. Smith earned his highest IPL salary when he returned to Rajasthan Royals for a whopping amount of INR 12.50 crore.

After spending another three seasons with the Jaipur-based outfit, the Royals skipper was released ahead of the IPL 2021 auction. Smith was picked by Delhi for a low price of INR 2.2 crore. The star Australian batter went unsold in the mega auction of IPL 2022.
