Prabhsimran Singh is an Indian cricketer representing Punjab in domestic cricket and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is also the cousin of fellow cricketer Anmolpreet Singh, who played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2023 IPL season.

Prabhsimran Singh Career
Prabhsimran Singh's cricket career started at a young age, competing for Punjab in different age-group competitions and displaying his skills. His batting skills propelled him into the national limelight quickly, and he established himself at a higher level. Prabhsimran participated in his maiden List-A match in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup against Afghanistan in December 2018. After switching to the T-20 format in 2019, Prabhsimran made his T20 debut against Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. During the Ranji Trophy in February 2022, he made his first-class cricket debut against Himachal Pradesh. Prabhsimran Singh Domestic Career
Prabhsimran Singh started his domestic career in the List A format, where he made his List A debut for India’s emerging team against Afghanistan’s emerging team in the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup on 7 December 2018. He scored eight runs in 16 balls while batting in this match. This tournament was nothing special for Prabhsimran, as he scored only 46 runs in five matches at an average of 15.33. Prabhsimran has scored 1040 runs in 35 List A matches played so far at an average of 34.66, scoring two centuries.
On 21 February 2019, Prabhsimran Singh made his T20 debut for Punjab in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In his first match, Prabhsimran Singh was unfortunately out on the stumps and he scored only 92 runs in six matches in the entire tournament at an average of 15.33, even though he had a half-century to his name. The biggest milestone in his domestic career came on 17 February 2022, when he played his first Ranji match for Punjab against Himachal Pradesh. In the first innings of his first match itself, Prabhsimran Singh impressed everyone by scoring a brilliant 123 runs off 138 balls, with the help of 21 fours and a six. Although Himachal Pradesh managed to draw the match, the true innings of Prabhsimran Singh put Punjab in a strong position.
Prabhsimran Singh played only three matches in his first Ranji Trophy tournament, in which he scored 152 runs in five innings at an average of 38, but in the very next year, he scored the highest 537 runs in 10 innings at an average of 53.70 for Punjab in eight Ranji Trophy matches, which also included a double century to his name. Prabhsimran Singh was the highest run-scorer for Punjab, not only in the 2022-23 Ranji season, but also in the recently held 2023-24 Ranji season. This time he scored 431 runs in 12 innings of the match at an average of 47.88, in which he had two centuries to his name. Prabhsimran Singh has played 20 first class matches so far in which he has scored 1322 runs at an average of 48.96 and with the help of five centuries.
Prabhsimran Singh IPL Career
Prabhsimran Singh started his IPL career for Kings XI Punjab on 29 April 2019 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he scored just 16 runs off 17 balls while batting. In the 2019 IPL, former Simran Singh got the opportunity to play just one match and played two matches and scored just 15 runs in 2020. He scored 19 runs in two matches in 2021 and just 14 runs in one match in 2022.
Despite his disappointing performance, Punjab Kings never released him and kept retaining him, the benefit of which was seen in the 2023 IPL, where he scored 358 runs in 14 matches at an average of 25.57 and also scored the first century of his IPL career. He played an innings of 103 runs in 65 balls at a strike rate of 158.46 against Delhi Capitals on 13th May 2023. In the 2024 IPL, he showed excellent performance once again and scored 334 runs in 14 matches at an average of 23.86 in which two half-centuries came from his bat.
Prabhsimran Singh Under 19 Career
Due to his good performance in the Under-23 district tournament, Prabhsimran Singh got a chance to join the Indian team in the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup held in 2018. He performed brilliantly in this tournament and scored 174 runs in five matches at an average of 43.50, in which two centuries came from his bat. In this tournament, Prabhsimran Singh was the fifth highest run-scorer from India and the Indian team also won the tournament.
