RAW or Monday Night RAW is the primary brand of the American pro wrestling promotion WWE. The program's first episode took place on Monday, January 11, 1993, and has been airing on Monday nights ever since. The show currently airs at 8 PM ET on the USA Network. While Monday Night RAW has been on television since 1993, the RAW brand has existed only since March 25, 2002, when WWE’s first Draft happened.
Since the Draft extension, RAW and SmackDown have worked as separate brands with separate rosters of wrestlers. It was lifted in 2013 and brought back in 2016. Thereafter, RAW, SmackDown, and NXT have their own dedicated rosters, and stars assigned to a particular brand perform only on their brand except for some circumstances.
