Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns

Week 12 starts with a bang when the Pittsburgh Steelers make a trip to Ohio to face their longtime rival, the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland will be hoping for a healthy Deshaun Watson late in the season. However, Watson alone can’t warrant a win as he is 0-3 against the Steelers in his career. On the flip side, Pittsburgh’s big addition Russell Wilson has never lost a game against the Browns in his illustrious career.

Neither of these teams are favorites to win their division so the best path for them to reach the playoffs comes via a wildcard spot. A win here could provide a significant boost in the playoff seedings for either team.

Games on Sunday, November 24

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans

This Sunday afternoon AFC South showdown has two young quarterbacks - Will Levis for the Titans and C.J. Stroud - from the 2023 draft going up against each other. Titans have moved from their longtime coach Mike Vrabel in the offseason. They will be entering the 2024 season with former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan calling shots from the sideline.

Texans are the odds-on favorite to win the division for the second straight year after adding stalwarts like Stefon Diggs, Joe Mixon and Danielle Hunter. According to many experts, the best way to win a Super Bowl is when QBs are on a rookie contract. Houston’s offseason moves are reminiscent of them going all in this year.

San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers

The Brock Purdy-led 49ers will visit Green Bay to face the Packers in the late Sunday afternoon slot. The Packers surprised everyone last year by reaching the divisional round after trading Aaron Rodgers in the 2023 offseason. However, the Packers' dream run perished when they came up short against the 49ers. The main reason for Green Bay’s surprise run last year was Jordan Love.

On the other hand, the Kyle Shanahan and Brock Purdy combo failed to bring Lombardi to the Bay Area after falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Both teams will be with their new defensive coordinators while having the same roster overall.

Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Rams

Sunday Night Football (SNF) in week 12 brings us a potential Championship game preview between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams. These are two Super Bowl-contending teams who need to take this game seriously as the race to the playoffs draws to a close.

The Eagles had a disappointing second half last season while the Rams shocked the league by making the playoffs having 14 rookies on their roster. However, both teams' Super Bowl aspirations came to a halt in the wildcard round. Philadelphia is hoping to get back on track after changing both their coordinators in the offseason while the Rams are betting on Matthew Stafford to carry the team after future HOF Aaron Donald decided to retire in March.

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Chargers

This MNF matchup from the NFL week 12 schedule will have all entertainment factors covered. Two brothers coaching against each other. Tick. Two elite QBs clashing in the primetime. Tick. Two teams contending for the playoffs. Tick.

Lamar Jackson will try to improve his undefeated record against the Chargers when Baltimore goes on a trip to Southern California. The Ravens are less or more the same team as last year, except for losing their DC Mike Macdonald and Odell Beckham Jr in the offseason. On the flip side, LA is coming into the season with a completely new coaching staff and a revamped offense which saw the departure of longtime players like Mike Williams, Corey Linsley and Keenan Allen.
