Let’s look at those big divisional matchups which have the potential to change the outlook of the whole conference. Four teams that will not entertain their fans this week will be the Packers, the Raiders, the Browns and the Seahawks as all of them are on BYE.

Game on Thursday, November 7

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals and the Ravens make the playoffs whenever Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson stay healthy for the whole season. This second game in both teams' divisional series is important as the team that comes out on top will be heavy favorites to win the AFC North title. In the last six seasons, Baltimore and Cincinnati have shared the divisional title five times between them.

However, the catch here would be the health of both teams starting quarterbacks. Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson have missed significant time due to their injuries in the last four years and most of that came in the second half of the season. Fans of both teams would have fingers crossed that it would not be the case this time around. The Ravens and the Bengals both have lost a major piece of their coaching staff in DC Mike Macdonald and OC Brian Callahan respectively. It would be intriguing to see how both franchises adjust to this.

Games on Sunday, November 10

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

Denver had gone 16 straight games without a win against Kansas City since Peyton Manning retired. However, this streak was broken last season with Sean Payton’s arrival as the Broncos went on to defeat the Chiefs by double digits at home. The Broncos would be entering this matchup with a rookie QB Bo Nix while Andy Reid’s squad would be favorites to come out on top with an improved receiving core.

Kansas City’s defense which finished top 5 in most categories last season will be a tough matchup for Sean Payton’s offense as the Broncos have one of the least experienced QB room in the whole league.

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

These two bitter rivals would be meeting each other for the second time in the 2024 season. Falcons would be entering the season with a revamped quarterback room which includes Kirk Cousins and rookie Michael Pennix Jr. Atlanta would be also guided by a new head coach Raheem Morris after relieving Arthur Smith from his duties.

The Saints will be basically unaltered and a home win here for them would go a long way in deciding the playoff seedings. Both these teams have postseason aspirations and in a division which is considered to be among the weakest, winning NFC South is not out of the realm for either of them. This game will have New Orleans favored to win due to their 6-2 record against Atlanta this decade.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

There is no sugarcoating this matchup from the NFL week 10 schedule. In the last 10 years, the Cowboys and the Eagles have gone on to win the NFC East title a combined eight times. Even this year, the other two teams in the division are no match for either of them. The outcome of this game will most probably decide the division winner.

However, the pressure here would be on the Dallas Cowboys as they are the home team and this is the 1st matchup between them. Eagles hired former Cowboys OC Kellen Moore as their offensive coordinator which would only make this historic rivalry more bitter. The Eagles also added one of the best running backs in Saquon Barkley to their team. But the loss of future HOF Jason Kelce would loom large on them. On the flip side, the Cowboys are entering the season unchanged.
