Kshitiz Sharma: A Brief Biography

Kshitiz Sharma Biography

Kshitiz Sharma is an Indian cricketer, who plays for Delhi. Born on 21st April 1990 in Delhi, Sharma primarily bats right-handed and occasionally bowls right-arm medium pace.

Domestic Career

Sharma made his T20 debut in a North Zone match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Services in March 2013.

Batting at number six, he could fetch only a run off three deliveries before being dismissed. In that edition, he went on to play two matches scoring only 16 runs.

In the 2013-14 edition of the same tournament, he showed some kind of form scoring a brisk 57 runs off 42 deliveries to defeat Rajasthan in the Group B encounter in April 2014. He bowled quite economically taking two wickets in five matches.

He was controversially called up for Ranji Trophy trial in 2015, but could not make the final cut in September 2015.

In January 2017, he played two matches in the North Zone of Inter-state T20 tournament in Dharamshala.

A month later, he played for Indian Sports Star in RC Sharma Cup and represented Delhi Wonders Club in DDCA League match in November.

He played one more match against Services in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2018, before making his List A debut against Tripura in the Group B encounter of Vijay Hazare Trophy in February 2018.

In his maiden List A match, he got neither batting or bowling opportunity, when he got one against Kerala he could score only six runs off five balls.

Club Career

To the surprise of many, he was picked by Chennai Super Kings foor Rs. 20 lakhs in the 2018 Indian Premier League auction.
