Sudhesan Midhun Biography

Sudhesan Midhun is an Indian cricketer who was born on October 7, 1994 in Kayamkulam (Alappuzha District) who represents Kerala in domestic cricket. He plays as a right arm off break bowler for his side.

Background

Midhun started his cricketing career with the Shot Cricket Club, Kandalloor before moving to the Travancore Cricket Academy, Kayamkulam, where he trained under Cinil Sabad.

He made his List A debut for Kerala in the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 7th February, 2018 in a match against Bengal where he recorded the figures of 10-1-41-0.

Rise to glory

Midhun first came into the limelight when took four wickets for the State Bank of India in the final of all-India Pooja Cricket Tournament against Canara Bank.

This earned him a place in the Kerala U23 team and played the BCCI U23 Tournament where he bagged 8 wickets including a hat-trick against Andhra Pradesh.

Later he also recorded the match figures of 3-0-10-1 in his debut match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Kerala against Andhra.

Club career

His all-round performances and wicket-taking abilities helped him to earn an unexpected call in the 2018 IPL auctions where he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for his base price of 20 lakh rupees. In his interview with The Hindu, he told that this was his dream come true moment and it would be a great opportunity for him to play alongside great players with the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes etc.
