Background
Joshi has been a part of Karnataka for quite a while. Aged 30, he was first part of the Karnataka U-19 team almost a decade ago. His love for the game and hunger to play more and more has kept him going. Joshi was not someone who was considered to be a huge prospect for the team which is why he got limited opportunities.
Debut
Aniruddha Joshi hasn’t made any international appearances yet.
Rise to Glory
Joshi’s top moment dates back to the 17th of October, 2011. He made his debut for Karnataka in a T20 match against Kerala. Joshi scored 16 runs with the willow and took three wickets to guide his team to a three-run victory.
Club Career
Joshi was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recently concluded IPL auctions.
Low Points
Aniruddha Joshi has got very limited opportunities in his decade-long career. He is usually considered only for T20 matches.
He hasn’t been effective and has failed to deliver performances on a consistent basis. A player who has been linked to cricket for nearly a decade and has played just 26 games shows that he has a lot of work to do.
2018 has brought some promise to Joshi as he got quite a few opportunities to play for Karnataka in the T20s.
However, he needs more than one or two good performances to become a regular in the side.
