Lalit Yadav, an Indian cricketer was born on January 3, 1997. He is an all-rounder who bats right handed down the middle order and is an effective right-arm offbreak spinner. In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, he made his Delhi first-class debut. On 9 January 2018, he made his T20 League debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League. He made his List A debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Lalit Yadav was roped in by DC in 2020 IPL. He was later retained in the 2022 mega auction by DC again. He scored his maiden century in first-class cricket in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy , with 177 runs against Tamil Nadu.

Lalit Yadav is an Indian cricketer who was born on January 3, 1997. Between 2017 and 2018, he made his Delhi debut in domestic cricket circuits such as Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare. The Delhi Capitals bought him in the IPL auctions of 2020 and later again in 2022. During the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy in February 2022, he scored 177 runs against Tamil Nadu to score his maiden first-class cricket century.

Lalit Yadav Domestic Career

In November 2017, he made his first-class debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. Lalitwas soon found his way to the Delhi team after putting up some strong performances in these tournaments. In his first innings, he delivered an incredible half-century and went on to smash two more in his following three matches.

On 9 January 2018, he made his Twenty20 League debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Zonal T20 League. On the 15th of February 2018, he made his List A debut for Delhi in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Yadav hit 177 runs in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy match against Tamil Nadu to get his first-ever century in first-class cricket.

In his debut year, he helped Delhi win the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with his power hitting and effective off-break bowling. He played every game for the squad

Lalit Yadav IPL Career

Yadav was brought in by the Delhi Capitals for his base price of INR 20 lakhs prior to the 2020 Indian Premier League. He was unable to make it into the starting eleven. He did not participate in the COVID hit 2020 season, where Delhi emerged as runners-up. He made his IPL debut in 2021 and bowled impressively while serving as a utility player for seven matches.

Delhi bought the all-rounder at the bidding for a higher price after a back-and-forth with Sunrisers Hyderabad, even though they had to release him before the big auction. Having played most of the season, he became an indispensable member of the team for the next one.

Lalit had a decent IPL outing in the 2023 season where he played 6 matches and proved quite economical. DC retained him for the 2024 IPL season but he played only 2 matches in the entire season
