Suchith burst onto the domestic circuit in the 2014-15 season. On his first-class debut in 2015, Suchith played a key role in Karnataka's victory over Bangladesh A. He contributed a useful 41 to Karnataka's first innings total and followed it with 6 for 60 in the second innings. Suchith also emerged as one of Karnataka's standout bowlers in that season's 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy. In six matches, he took 12 wickets at an average of 13.58 and an economy rate of 3.95. He also displayed his batting might in the Karnataka Premier League, slamming the fastest fifty in the tournament in 2016. With Gowtham going off for India A duties, Suchith managed to retain his place in the Karnataka team in the 2018 season of Ranji Trophy. In 17 FC matches so far, Suchith has taken 51 wickets and scored 284 runs.

IPL Career

Suchith was part of the Indian Premier League before even making his First Class debut, thanks to Mumbai Indians scouting team which roped the youngster for the 2015 season after spotting him and his talent in the Karnataka Premier League. In the 2015 season, Suchith played 13 matches and took 15 wickets at an average of 33.70. He had just one appearance in 2016, and was even retained the following year but spent it on the MI bench. There were no takers for him in the two subsequent auctions. Delhi Capitals later roped in the 26-year-old left-arm spinner to replace the injured fast bowler Harshal Patel for the remainder of IPL 2019 after the latter injured himself.
