Half-PPR formats have become one of the most popular fantasy football leagues ahead of the 2024 season. Players still get rewarded for making receptions, but their scores aren’t as inflated as league’s that reward a full point for doing so. This scoring style provides a boost to tight ends heavily involved in their team’s passing games, such as Mark Andrews and Sam LaPorta, while also decreasing the general need to target quarterbacks in the earliest rounds.

Sportskeeda’s 2024 half-PPR fantasy football rankings demonstrate this concept, as QB1 Josh Allen only checks in at 30th overall. The top of the overall rankings instead highlights the two premium positions, with 43 players in the top 50 being represented by wide receivers and running backs. Jahmyr Gibbs makes his debut in the top 10 overall, while Davante Adams falls outside of the top 25 for the first time in his prime years.
