The 24-year-old has been playing domestic cricket for Goa since 2022 and has earned a name for himself with his quick bowling and aggressive batting. He has had privileged access to some of the popular cricket stadiums in the world for practice, but he has ensured that those practice sessions have been used for improvement.

Southpaw has represented Mumbai U14, Mumbai U16, Mumbai U19, Mumbai U23, India U19, Mumbai, Ealing, Goa, Mumbai Indians and Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers. More than handy with the bat, he has exceptional skills as a left-arm pacer, training a lot under Indian stalwart Zaheer Khan. He has been a net bowler to the Indian men’s cricket team, Indian women’s cricket team, England men’s cricket team, and the Mumbai Indians. Finally, he earned an IPL contract with the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2021 and played his first IPL game in 2023.

Career

Arjun Tendulkar hasn’t played for the national team yet but he has appeared in IPL for Mumbai Indians. He moved to Goa in 2022 where he made his first-class debut and scored his first century in the Ranji Trophy debut. Arjun has also played several youth test matches for India U-19 against Sri Lanka.

Arjun started his domestic career with Mumbai and played for them for a few years. He later moved to Goa in the search of better opportunities and even played Ranji Trophy for them. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2023.

Domestic Career

Arjun Tendulkar has played a couple of ‘Youth Tests’ for India U19 in 2018. He picked up three wickets in the two matches and scored just 14 runs. He could not play in the U19 World Cup as he had crossed the age limit by the time the tournament commenced.

In January 2021, Arjun was selected to the Mumbai senior side for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21, which is India’s premier domestic T20 tournament. He picked three wickets and scored just three runs in two matches, in what was one of the worst seasons for a Mumbai side. In August 2022 Arjun Tendulkar moved to Goa for his domestic career, and in December he made his first-class debut and scored his maiden century against Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy.

IPL Career

The Mumbai Indians Team gave him his first IPL contract in IPL 2021 by picking him up for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. Arjun made his debut after two years in 2023, he appeared in 4 matches scoring 13 runs and picking up three wickets. Mumbai Indians have retained him in the 2024 IPL.

Arjun Tendulkar Under 19 Career

Arjun has played two Test matches for India U-19 against Sri Lanka in 2018. In the first game in Colombo, Arjun picked two wickets in two innings but scored with the bat. In the second game in Hambantota, he scored 14 runs and picked one wicket.
