Cheteshwar Pujara: A Brief Biography

Cheteshwar Pujara was born in Rajkot on 25 January 1988 is a right-handed batsman who plays for Saurashtra in local cricket. He was a part of the India A team which visited England in 2010 summers and was the most noteworthy scorer of the visit.

He made his first twofold hundred against England at Ahmedabad in November 2012 and caught up with another twofold hundred against Australia in March 2013, both the circumstances directing India to triumph and getting to be man of the match.

Cheteshwar Pujara - Background

Pujara made his first Under-19 debut in test for India against England in 2005. In his first innings, he scored 211 runs which lead India to win by an innings and 137 runs. He was also picked in the Indian squad for the 2006 under-19 Cricket world cup. He was the main run-scorer of the under-19 World Cup where he scored 349 runs from 6 innings, including three fifties and a century, at an average of 1117. He was the Man of the tournament for the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Cheteshwar Pujara -Debut

Pujara was chosen for the Indian squad for the two match home Test series against Australia in 2010, supplanting Yuvraj Singh. He made his debut in the second Test on 9 October 2010 at Bangalore.

He took two catches at silly point and made four runs in first innings and in second innings he made 72 runs but was clean bowled by Nathan Hauritz.

Yet, this did not tailed him for longer he made his rebound in August 2012 and scored his first International Test century, 159 against New Zealand at Hyderabad. In this way, He was picked in India's squad to play four test matches against England.

Low points

Pujara was named in the 16-man squad for the 2014 voyage through England. With a best of 55 and an aggregate of 222 keeps running in five Tests, he had a baffling arrangement. In spite his great beginnings, he was not able to play back-foot shots properly which indeed he tried to fix later.

Cheteshwar Pujara - Club career

Pujara played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the initial three season of the IPL. In the 2011 player's auction, he was purchased by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He began for RCB for the fourth season of the IPL before injuring his knee in a match against Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

The damage kept him out of activity for almost a year prior to he came back to domestic cricket toward the finish of 2011. After having not been picked by any franchise for the 2015 IPL season, he went to play for Yorkshire.
