Indian player Nehal Wadhera is a left-handed batsman, Nehal Wadhera represents Mumbai

Indians in IPL and Punjab in domestic cricket. Nehal Wadhera is also a part-time leg break bowler.

Nehal was born on 4 September 2000 in Ludhiana district of Punjab. Being from Punjab and a left-handed batsman, he is also called Yuvraj Singh of the new era. Nehal has also represented the Indian Under-19 team in 2018 and 2019.

Nehal Wadhera Career

Nehal Wadhera started his cricket career in 2015 with the Vijay Merchant Trophy which is an under-16 competition, after 3 years, Nehal also participated in the Coach Bihar Trophy with the Punjab Under-19 team. Nehal made his debut in the Indian Under-19 team in 2018, He got a chance to play in the team when he was included in the two four-day matches against Sri Lanka.

In December 2022, Nehal Wadhera was bought by Mumbai Indians at a base price of Rs 20 lakh in the auction of IPL and the very next year he got the opportunity to make his IPL debut. Nehal played his first Ranji match for Punjab in January 2023 where he helped his team win by scoring a century in his debut match.

Nehal Wadhera came into the limelight when he broke Brian Lara's record by scoring 578 runs in a four-day Inter District Under 23 Cricket Competition in April 2022.

Nehal Wadhera Domestic career

Nehal Wadhera made his debut in the Punjab team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in December 2020, only then he was included in the team by Mumbai Indians in the 2022 IPL auction at Rs 20 lakh. Nehal started his first-class career in January 2023 when he played for Punjab in his first Ranji match by scoring a brilliant century against Gujarat. Nehal had scored his first first-class double-century in the third match itself.

Nehal played his first List A match for Punjab on 23 November 2023 against Baroda in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Nehal has played 12 matches so far in his first-class career, in which in 17 innings he has scored 739 runs with the help of three centuries and one half-century, in which his highest score is 214 runs. If we talk about his List A career, he has scored 106 runs in 6 matches at an average of 21.20 and a strike rate of 66.66 and till now he has failed to score a single half-century in his List A career.

Nehal Wadhera IPL Career

Nehal Wadhera started his IPL career on 2 April 2023 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In his first match, facing only 11 balls, he added 21 runs with two brilliant sixes and impressed everyone. During his first IPL season, Nehal scored 241 runs in 14 matches at an average of 26.78 and a strike rate of 145.18, in which he also scored two half-centuries. Mumbai Indians have retained Nehal at his base price for the 2024 IPL.

Nehal Wadhera Under 19 Career

Nehal Badera was included in the Indian Under-19 team for the 2 Youth Test matches played in the 2018 Sri Lanka tour. In the first match, Nehal Wadhera batted brilliantly and scored 82 runs in 132 balls. In both the Test matches played in that series, Nehal Wadhera was India's fourth-highest scorer and the series' seventh-highest scorer. He scored 146 runs in two innings at an average of 73. Nehal Wadhera was included in the Indian team for Under-19 Asia Cup 2019, in this competition Nehal got the opportunity to play only one match where he scored an inning of 18 runs.
