Indian cricketer Mukesh Choudhary was born on July 6, 1996. He plays both domestic cricket for Maharashtra and Indian Premier League matches for Chennai Super Kings. On November 9, 2017, he made his Maharashtra first-class debut in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. On October 7, 2019, he made his List A debut for Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for 2019–20.In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for 2019–20, he made his Twenty20 debut for Maharashtra. The Chennai Super Kings signed him at the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League.
Mukesh Choudhary Domestic Career
Mukesh made his debut in domestic cricket in November 2017, in the Ranji Trophy, where he played 13 matches and took 38 wickets. He was the leading wicket-taker for Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021–22. Mukesh also debuted in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy for Maharashtra. He took 2 wickets for 10 runs in his debut match of 2019 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Mukesh Choudhary IPL Career
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021–22, he was the leading wicket-taker of Maharashtra. As a result of his exploits, Mukesh Choudhary was up for the auction in the IPL 2022 auction at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. Chennai Super Kings acquired him at the IPL 2022 mega auction for his base price. Following Deepak Chahar's injury-related withdrawal from the IPL 2022 season, Mukesh Choudhary stepped up and provided the pace momentum for the Yellow Army. With 13 games in that season, he grabbed 16 wickets at a bowling average of 26.50, including a four-wicket haul.
He was ruled out of the 2023 IPL due to back injury and was retained by CSK in the 2024 IPL season, although he appeared in just a single game, where he gave 27 runs in an over.
