Dagar is a canny left-arm spinner who has the knack of picking up wickets at regular intervals. He represents Himachal Pradesh (HP) in the domestic circuit and plays for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Mayank Dagar Domestic Career
Mayank Dagar made his domestic debut for Himachal Pradesh (HP) against Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16. In his maiden List-A outing, he scored 21 crucial runs down the order but went wicketless with the ball as HP lost to Delhi by 6 wickets.
Dagar made his first-class (FC) debut for HP against Andhra Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 season. He scored 42 vital runs lower down the order and the match ended in a draw. He made his T20 debut for HP against Services on January 29, 2017.
Mayank Dagar IPL Career
Mayank Dagar was acquired by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the IPL 2018 auction.
He did not get to play for the Kings and was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2023 auction. Dagar made his IPL debut against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 21, 2023.
After playing 3 matches in IPL 2023, he was traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru) ahead of IPL 2024 for Shahbaz Ahmed. He has failed to impress in the chances he has gotten and would be aiming to add more wickets to the wicket column in the coming years.
Mayank Dagar Under-19 Career
Following his debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16 season, Mayank Dagar was drafted into the Indian Under-19 squad to play in the ICC Uner-19 Cricket World Cup 2016. He was the second-highest wicket-taker for India U-19 after Avesh Khan. Dagar picked up 11 wickets in 4 innings at an impressive average of 9.36 and a stunning economy of 2.88 as India U-19 finished as runners-up.

Mayank Dagar is the nephew of legendary Indian opener Virender Sehwag. He was instrumental in picking up Dagar for the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in the IPL 2018 auction.
